Jardan’s Etta collection treats the sofa and coffee tables as a single, unified design concept rather than separate items. Launched after the brand’s outdoor-focused Shoreline collection, Etta prioritizes indoor comfort and cohesive aesthetics. The collection features soft, rounded forms that unify furniture pieces through shared geometric forms and material choices.
Design Philosophy Behind Etta
The Etta Sofa establishes the collection’s scale with deep proportions, a high back, and raised seat height. Wrapped arms and cushions create a relaxed silhouette visible from all angles, avoiding the need for a single “best side.” The design allows the sofa to function standalone or as a modular system with corner modules for larger spaces. A new fabric, Monty, complements its rounded edges with enhanced texture.
The accompanying tables take a contrasting approach. Each consists of two softly rounded volumes stacked vertically, creating a floating upper surface. The simple construction yields strong, sculptural pieces that echo the sofa’s curves while maintaining a firmer, more defined presence. Coffee and side tables can be arranged individually or grouped into extended compositions, mirroring the sofa’s modular flexibility.
Material and Color Contrasts
Color and finish options highlight the collection’s balance of softness and structure. Tables feature high-gloss finishes in Auburn and Kelp, with additional standard two-pack color choices available. The lacquered surfaces create a deliberate contrast against upholstery, where texture meets shine. The interplay of matte and glossy materials prevents the designs from clashing while reinforcing their shared aesthetic language.
Designed in Melbourne, the sofa, modular configurations, and tables work together or independently, allowing the collection to adapt to various living spaces without losing its cohesive identity. Jardan’s expertise in balancing comfort with playful design elements remains evident throughout the Etta range.
The Etta collection is available in Jardan showrooms across Australia and through the brand’s online platform.
