The best of those human-written stories stunned me with 1) unique methods of viewing the world , 2) linguistic originality, 3) inimitable details that could come only from personal experience. Other stories have been written deftly but lacked these elements of originality and surprise. AI is an excellent mimic and quick learner and would possibly simply write strong works in recognizable modes, and with linguistic experimentation if prompted, however — I think — will lack true insight and experience.
