Hudson Valley Lighting Group announced its autumn lighting lineup for the United Kingdom, extending the American firm’s design-focused offerings into the British market.
Launch expands a seasoned portfolio
The company, founded by David Littman in the 1980s, grew from a single showroom into a network of six lighting manufacturers and recently added the home-decor brand Schoolhouse.
“We design and build beautiful fixtures for people who put quality first — for people who are not willing to trade off that increasingly rare characteristic,” Littman said, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to lasting craftsmanship.
The new collection arrives as the first international release of several pieces that blend traditional silhouettes with contemporary materials.
The Arwen chandelier reinterprets a classic half-dome shape, using woven rattan to create a soft, diffused glow that adds a natural texture to modern rooms.
Collaborating with designer Mandy Cheng, the Abbey wall sconce draws its name from a childhood friend and echoes the bold jewelry Cheng often wears, providing a striking accent for hallway walls.
Crafted from Cloud Glass, the Amara wall sconce features internal etching that highlights an abstract botanical motif, delivering a subtle pattern of light that changes with the viewer’s angle.
The Artifact table lamp mimics natural stone, with finishes named Moonstone and Graystone that give each unit a distinct, tactile presence, suitable for both residential and commercial settings.
For the Lonnie pendant, a bleached abaca rope wraps the classic umbrella shade, while a vintage gold-leaf stem adds a striking vertical accent that catches attention in dining areas.
Additional highlights and availability
The Lyra wall sconce showcases scalloped Capiz shells that converge at a narrow waist, creating a graceful silhouette that works well above bedside tables.
Fully ceramic, the Soloma table lamp presents a dome shade with an irregular edge, lending a sculptural feel to tabletop arrangements and inviting curious glances.
Inspired by mid-century Sputnik designs, the Atom wall sconce incorporates glass spheres and cylinders illuminated by energy-efficient LEDs.
The Syros pendant offers a symmetric, organically formed glass shade in Remolino Blanco, topped by a smaller affogato glass element for layered illumination that softens ambient lighting.
